I’m slowly working on sock #1 for my Sockapaloooza pal. I really hope to finish it by Friday so I have some hope of finishing sock #2 by May 1st, but we’ll see. They always seem to take longer than I think they will. But with 600+ people in the group, you’d think there would be someone who isn’t finished by the deadline, not just me … Does anyone remember this from previous swaps? I figure if I at least finish the first I’ll have something to send to my pal on May 1st and will of course knit feverishly and monogamously until I finish the pair. I’m knitting more monogamously now than I did during the Knitting Olympics!
So far I’m about 3 or 4 inches past the heel and … damned metric system! My pal, although American, wrote out 25 cm, so now I have to remeasure! Yes, I am lazy. Okay, after having to change measuring tapes (one of mine doesn’t even have cm!), I am at 11 cm of the foot, leaving 14 more cm to go, including the toe. Luckily I have a size 11 friend who has offered to try the sock on for me, so I’ll probably take her up on that later in the week, whether I’m done or not.
Now, back to knitting …

I’m lazy too. My Rowan patterns do everything in CM too…drives me nuts looking for the tape measure with both
knit on!
