Move over Socks that Rock. Bow to the king of sock yarns … FurrYarns MaineBearSOX1!!!

At last, red yarn with not even a hint of blue — that is, not something I could Kool-Ade dye myself.

I just received my order of MaineBearSOX1 in the “Martian” colorway, and it is exquisite. It is also soft, just stretchy enough and drool worthy. I had planned on starting to knit it up for a photo but all their ties to keep the hank together have stumped me and I need more time to unravel it without losing even one inch of this glorious yarn.

I’m also working hard on finishing my Jaywalkers, my Olympics project. There are now 4 people over on the Turtles KAL that have finished, and I don’t want to be the slowest turtle of all …

I just started to turn the heel. Of course I lost a bit of knitting time today when we were going to the movies to see “Curious George” (yes, being a parent is so much fun sometimes, when your only excuse to see a movie is a kids one), and I could only work on my Sitcom Chic because I needed to be able to knit without looking. I wonder if I can finish my Jaywalker this week? Since the Femiknit Mafia is turning us “green” when we’re done in the Turtles KAL, I’d love to be done by St. Patrick’s Day!
