My Tivoli is f—-d. I lost a stitch marker, then I was trying to knit at the park today at a birthday party (with no cake — sacriledge!) and make sure OR didn’t get trampled and pulled out some of my knitting near the beginning of the round. I spent some time today trying to figure it out and I’m lost. And I was hoping to work on it at the park tomorrow, when we have IM’s first birthday party. In the hopes that many people would come, I decided to make the timing really long, so now we have to stay at the park for four hours, in the hopes that the people that did say that they would come will show up and not get ignored. My stepmother-in-law has already said that she might not come after all because, get this, she and my sister-in-law (she’s 16) are going to see _Steve Miller_ tonight. I loved REO Speedwagon in the ’80s but I’m over that now, and don’t plan on seeing any ’80s bands in their reunion tours. Well, maybe The Damned. I love Dave Vanian.

Anyhoo, I’ll be running around tomorrow getting the cake and food in the morning, and won’t have time to figure out where the raglan increases are supposed to go or even what row I’m on, and I’ve already taken the needle out twice today. Nothing else I’m working on (believe it or not) is portable enough to bring to the park. Could I just sit there and enjoy my last baby’s first birthday party? No, I always have to have knitting with me and I go to the park daily — it’s boring.

I’ve been working steadily on my Katrina Rib as well, and my Raglan Tansy Tee but that is attached to the cone and the other yarn is really tangled so that’s not going to the park either. I won’t get any knitting progress this weekend, will I?

Uh-oh. I hate that! I hope you get it figured out.

Me too — although I guess I’m lucky I am not a perfectionist, so if the raglan increase line isn’t perfect, I won’t mind too much.
