Just a quick post, I still have an article to read on how your brain interprets radio advertisements and “Numbers” to finish. I talked to BR this morning and even though I have three web addresses to host buttons I don’t know how to get into them and BR is always at work so [...]

Not that I need another avenue for buying yarn, but I just love Knit Pixie. All of their yarn is so interesting and original! One of these days I might splurge on some Spunky Eclectic yarn! The next best thing to dying it yourself!

I can’t believe I was on the phone with my mom in Rockville, MD and totally forgot to ask her why she wasn’t at the MD Sheep and Wool Festival! I am so jealous — definitely in two years I will be there! The problem is there are so many reasons to visit MD [...]

Here’s the beginning of my A Good Bias shrug from IK. Right now I’m making it on Knitpicks’ Shine yarn, size 5 needles. So far it’s going well but I have a lot of work left to screw up the lace! At least there aren’t too may pattern repeats on each row.

These were my first two sachets made out of Mission Falls 1824 Cotton. It was an interesting project because I learned a lot and got to try out new patterns.

20% Yankee

10% Dixie

0% Midwestern

0% Upper Midwestern

What Kind of American English Do You Speak?

Thanks to a suggestion by someone in my knitting group, I have decided to start “A Good Bias” in Knitpicks’ “Shine”, double stranded. The yarn looked perfect on the website but when I got it was much smaller than the Mission Falls 1824 Cotton that the pattern asked for. Then Lia suggested double [...]

Well I might not be able to go to the Maryland Sheep and Wool festival this year (maybe when IM is 3?!) but I can enjoy the new knitting magazine, Southern Cross Knitting. I’m interested in trying the knitting and purling backwards that is mentioned in one of the articles.
As for my current knitting [...]

Back to the “I don’t know how you do it” angle, apparently salary.com has estimated that a stay-at-home mom should be paid approximately $132K a year, according to this Yahoo news article. Of course no one is going to pay me that much but I would take it
I guess the good news is [...]
